It takes some time, but a home cooked meal can be worth the wait.
A vacation can be worth the wait, although they have the tendency to hurt the wallet, and leave you needing another one.
Finding the person God created for you to spend your life with, is worth the wait.
AND
Finishing the last revision of your manuscript is worth the wait. Which is what I’ve just done. Although, I still need to get a few proof readers and send it to the editors.
These writing journeys tend to have some serious ups and downs. Discouragement is not uncommon. So, why write? There’s something about sharing a story with someone else. It’s interesting that God planned for Jesus to come to earth when He did. There were no cameras or devices to record his story. Instead, he wrote on the hearts of those who accompanied Him. What happened then? They retold His story of course. From each of their unique perspectives we get to see the Messiah touch the lives of every person He encountered.
One thing I love about the Bible is being able to read the stories and imagine the events for myself. When we sit down, be still, and listen, we hear what God is saying to us personally, and it touches each of our hearts differently.
The story I’ve written will fade, regardless of how many people read it, but Gods word remains forever engraved upon our hearts.
