You may recall from previous blogs that I completed my first novel titled A Picture of the Heart (POTH) at the end of March. Earlier this month (April), I sent out my first query letter. Since then, I haven’t sat down in my building to write. I used our home office to build and polish my next five query letters, and I’ve sent out one proposal letter. So far, I’ve received one rejection which happened pretty fast. I’m encouraged to know the process worked, and at least one person had read my query letter. Her response was longer and more encouraging than expected. I’ll keep you posted about my journey to get an agent.
I mentioned above that I had not sat down in my building since early this month, but that changes today. It took me a little longer to get back here than I would have liked, but I’m here and ready to work. I’m starting the prequel to POTH today. Allow me to give you a little preview.
In POTH, there’s a character (I hope you’ll get to meet soon) who was transferred from Dragon Ship Vale (DSV) to the city of White Oak. His name is Laine, and it’s about his Journey. In POTH, there are a few “light bulb” moments. Once you read DSV, those moments should become clear.
Thank you for joining me today as I begin my newest WIP.
